Triple Threat started as a vision two sisters had for their lives. Kelly was living in London pursing theatre, Tracy in Southern California pursing a dance career. In 2002, Kelly moved home to L.A. and the two began work on bringing Triple Threat to life!

Kelly, a former dancer, started her career in costuming by designing Tracy’s high school solo costumes. She later went on to design custom costumes for dance, cheer, and song teams across the country. Tracy continued her career as a dancer in addition to teaching/choreographing throughout the Southern California area. After ordering many disappointing costumes from catalogs, Tracy found it very difficult to find the perfect dance costumes for her dancers. Kelly began to design all of the dance costumes for Tracy’s students and competition teams. It soon became clear that other teachers and choreographers shared the same frustration when it came to finding costumes for dance competition and dance recitals. With that in mind, Triple Threat was born! It was time to bring a fresh, unique, and exciting approach to the dance costume catalog industry.
